
One of Cape Bretons’s busiest theatrical performers, Maynard Morrison has performed his comedy on TV, radio, and for live audiences across the country. His characters, reflecting a Cape Breton-eye view of everyday matters, are consistent favourites wherever he appears.
Maynard was a featured performer and popular host of the Gala at the Ha!ifax Comedy Fest for many years and has been seen in that role by over a million viewers on the CBC national network. He has also been a frequent guest on the CBC radio comedy show, Madly Off in All Directions. He has also appeared in a number of television shows and films.
An accomplished writer and director, Maynard was a founding member of the Cape Breton Summertime Revue and has collaborated on many productions with wife Bette MacDonald including the popular holiday touring productions of Tis The Season.
In ‘real life’, Maynard is a drama teacher at Sydney Academy.
